The river called Naab can be reached in approximately 100 m on foot. Here fishers can fish undisturbed in a natural state water. The Naab is now classified as a nature reserve (natural reservation) in most parts and makes a home for many species of birds and other ways of life.
The pilgrim route Camino de Santiago (also known as The Way of St. James) which leads to Santiago de Compostella, is round 50 m away from the hotel an runs along the river Naab for a while. The whole Upper Palatinate Way of Saint James is 89 km long and runs from Eslarn (on the Czech border) until Ensdorf.
The city of Schwandorf is county town with an area of approx. 120 k㎡ and 30,000 inhabitants. You can reach the city on foot in approximately 30-45 minutes, or by car, bus or taxi in 5-10 minutes.
